Arrow Gaming is going to the International to represent SEA. This is a team many fans may know very little about. What can you tell us about them? Do you know them well?
WinteR: I don’t know them well, but they have been around and a few of them (lance and ddz) have been on the same team for a few years. They were known as refreshing before, they have played together for a few years and it’s bearing fruit now. It’s about time Malaysia gets new players stepping up to replace the old ones.
Despite a disappointing showing in China for WPC-ACE, your team was a serious contender for the SEA TI4 qualifiers. What do you think about your own team’s performance as well as teams that were expected to do a bit better (eg: Scythe or RRQ) and MVP that managed to secure 2nd place in a convincing manner?
WinteR: MVP were getting really strong after acquiring QO as their solo mid, people just didn’t know they were good. For my team, we mainly suffered from lack of experience as Ysaera especially is a very new player. He’s only played Dota 2 for 2 years and he didn’t play Dota 1. It’s really hard for us to compete against the best, hence sometimes we do well, sometimes we don’t we are very inconsistent because of that. Scythe and RRQ were having slumps prior to the qualifiers due the patch changes. They didn’t adapt in time despite having good results before that.
