Since Monday the fourth edition of The International is running and we’ve seen plenty of matches already. Here’s a short summary/schedule for the next days.

 

1. Play-In Series (July 8th)

On Monday the qualifier runner-up’s were able to compete for the last spot of the main tournament.  Team Liquid took the wildcard after defeating  CIS Game and  MVP.Phoenix both 2-0.

 

2. Solo Championship (July 8th)

The Solo Mid Champion of this year is Gustav ‘s4‘ Magnusson after beating Luo ‘Ferrari_430‘ Feichi 2-1 in the final.

 

3. Preliminaries – Round Robin (July 9th – 12th)

The 16-team group stage has started yesterday. Every team plays each other once. The 2 top teams will go directly to the Main Event. Places 3 to 10 will play the bracket stage.

 

4. Preliminaries – Bracket (July 13th & 14th)

Two of the 8 teams who participate will be eliminated. The other teams will play for their placement in the Main Event’s bracket in a BO3 single-elimination bracket.

 

5. Main Event (July 18th – 21th)

The last 8 teams will play in a BO3 double-elimination bracket. The two top teams of the Round-Robin group stage and bracket stage will be seated in the upper bracket and the 4 other remaining teams of the bracket stage in the lower bracket.
